The Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra, (PVYO) is pleased to announce some exciting news about the 2019 – 2020 Concert Season.  First, we would like to welcome Dr. Mark Schuppener as PVYO String Specialist.  Dr. Schuppener brings a wealth of experience in music education, string pedagogy, performance, and conducting.  Dr. Schuppener will be working will all levels of our string program, leading violin sectionals, bowing parts, and serving as a resource to the conductors.  We are delighted to welcome him to the PVYO team!  Read more about Dr. Mark Schuppener

Second, we welcome Michelle Roberts as PVYO Symphony Orchestra Assistant.  For the coming season, Ms. Roberts will assist Mr. Dahlin with the Symphony Orchestra.  Ms. Roberts brings her expertise in strings and wind teaching to weekly rehearsals.  Mr. Dahlin and Ms. Roberts will work together to create a thriving educational environment for our Symphony Orchestra Strings, Winds, and Percussion.  Read more about Michelle Roberts

Finally, we would like to welcome Ms. Preetcharn Saund to PVYO as Chamber Music Coordinator.   Ms. Saund is a UMD graduate in cello performance.  She will be organizing and implementing our new Chamber Music Initiative.  We are thrilled to offer this exciting new program to our students.
