Philharmonia

The Philharmonia is PVYO’s premier symphony orchestra, conducted by renowned European conductor and educator, Dr. Patrycja Pieczara.
The Philharmonia brings together the most accomplished high school string, wind, brass, and percussion students in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The ensemble performs demanding repertoire that spans Classical masterworks, contemporary pieces, and commissioned works.
Rehearsals are conducted with high expectations for preparation and artistic excellence. Students in the Philharmonia take pride in rising to these standards and gain a deep sense of accomplishment performing outstanding orchestral literature.
