The Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra (PVYO) is excited to introduce Dr. Patrycja Pieczara as the next PVYO Philharmonia Conductor! Dr. Pieczara brings to the PVYO team her extensive experience in leading youth orchestras across Europe and the United States.

Throughout her career, she has conducted and mentored youth ensembles of various levels, including the Music Academy Symphony Orchestra in Krakow, Poland, the Krakow Youth Philharmonia, L’Orchestre Atelier Ostinato in Paris, and youth ensembles affiliated with the Royal Academy, Royal College, and Trinity College of Music in London, UK.

In addition to Dr. Pieczara’s experience with youth orchestras, she has worked with many renowned orchestras across the globe including the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony, and others.

As an educator, Dr. Pieczara was Assistant Professor and Music Director at Poland’s leading Music Academy in Krakow where she worked to develop and manage orchestral training curricula and created comprehensive, skill-based programs for her students. Learn more about Dr. Pieczara on her website:

Now that she has relocated to the United States, Dr. Pieczara is committed to inspiring young musicians through thoughtful programming, dynamic rehearsals, and outstanding performances in the Washington D.C. region.
